Invitation

Dear Colleagues

On behalf of the Organizing Committee of NATCON-ASI-2008, it is our pleasure and privilege to extend a warm and cordial invitation to you and your family for the 56th National Annual Conference of the Anatomical Society of India at Varanasi, the land where experience and discovery reach the ultimate bliss. It is the spiritual, religious and cultural capital of the country and is believed to be the oldest living city in the world. A few lines by Mark Twain say it all: "Benaras is older than history, older than tradition, older even than legend and looks twice as old as all of them put together". It is the abode of Lord Shiva and the river Ganges. At sunrise, the shimmering red golden water of the Ganges, chanting of mantras and hymns, along with the fragrance of incense filling the air with mysticism, entrails every person. It is the city where Lord Buddha preached his first sermon and Mahamana Madan Mohan Malviya founded the Banaras Hindu University.

For us, it is a matter of great honor and pride that Varanasi has been chosen as the venue of NATCON -ASI-2008. We intend to leave no stone unturned to provide an enriching academic feast in the serene and tranquil environment of Banaras Hindu University, the largest residential university in Asia. The scientific program would be based on your aspirations and suggestions so as to create an ambience truly conducive for exchanging and disseminating knowledge.

The Organizing Committee and the people of Varanasi are ready to welcome you all for the 56th National Annual Conference of the Anatomical Society of India. We hope that you will come to experience the charm of this wonderful city and give us an opportunity to make your stay a pleasant and joyous experience.

The CME-cum-Workshop, preceding the conference on 26th December, 2008 entitled "Electron Microscopy in Medical Research" on a latest model of Transmission Electron Microscope (Technai 12 of FEI) would bean exciting experience.

Looking forward to welcome you in Varanasi.
Our Next circular will be reaching you soon.
