Department of Forensic Medicine

Year of establishment: 1964

The M.D. course in Forensic Medicine was started in the year 1971 and till now twenty six candidates have been awarded MD degree in forensic medicine. This is one of the very few MD courses in Forensic Medicine recognized by the Medical Council of India. Over 425 scientific and research papers have been published in National and International journals by the teachers of the department. Eminent persons of specialty such as prof. David M.Paul (UK), Prof. A.K.Mane (UK), Prof. T.K.Marshal (UK) have visited the department at different times as guest speakers.
