BRIEF INTRODUCTION OF DEPARTMENT

The university employees health care complex was established in 1975 with a view to provide preventive, promotive and curetive health care facilities to all the university employees, their families and dependents. At present it has 3 units, the main centre being at Jodhpur Colony, BHU and the other 2 at Hyderabad colony and Central Hindu Boys School in the city respectively. It functions according to the patterns of the CGHS. The Health care centers jointly cater to about more than 400 patients/day on an average. The centers provide medicines for all acute and chronic diseases. Immunization, family welfare consultations and periodically organizes health education programme for the university employees and their dependents.

The centers are located at strategic locations so that they are easily accessible by all of the university community.
