The investigative facilities are available at the following places:

Pediatric Side Laboratory:

Situated on the ground floor near office of the department. folIowing routine laboratory investigations are done free of cost only for the Pediatric Indoor patients and certain tests for OPD patients:

Blood:

Total eucocyte Count (TLC). Differential Leucocyte Count (DLC). Hemoglobin (Hb). Erythrocyte Sedimentation Rate (ESR). Absolute Eosinophil Count (AEC). Reticulocyte COllnt

Urine

pH. Albumin. microscopic, specific gravity. sugar. ketone hodies. occult blood.bile salt. bile pigment. urobilinogen.

Stool:

pH occult blood. microscopic.

Cerebrospinal Fluid:

Protein (quantitative). microscopic

Pediatric Research Laboratory:

Situated on the third tloor of the main Institute. Building following investigations are done here.

Blood:
Serum iron

Unsaturated Iron binding capacity (UIBC). Total Iron Binding Capacity (TIBC). Fetal hemoglobin (HbF). Osmotic flagility (OF). Packed Cell Volume (PCV). Serum electrolytes - Sodium. Potassium. Chloride; Serum creatinine

Urine

Metachromatic granules

Arterial Blood Gas Analysis. serum electrolytes. Indoor X-rays (to be started), Utrasonography (to be started).
